Nurturing Creativity in Education – Restoring Power Project
On the 12-13-14 October 2022, I&F Education had the pleasure of hosting a Training Week for our Nurturing Creativity project, focusing on young students. All partners from UK, Italy, Norway, Malta and Turkey were present and attended the training course, which offered a wonderful opportunity to foster creativity in the classroom setting, reaching all stakeholders in the educational field: management, teachers, parents and students. Dublin had a great welcome in store for our partners, who had the chance to sample great Irish sunny weather, hospitality, a good set of renowned speakers, and of course, a fantastic Irish music and dancing show at Taylor’s Three Rock Pub.
We had 3 very intense and fun days where we learned about nurturing and fostering Creativity in various subjects: general classroom subjects, Art, Social Personal and Health Education, Geography, IT, English, Mathematics and we also had a stand-alone session for Creativity and Leadership in schools. All our speakers contributed positively to this training week, where we had lots to take away with us: Theo Gavrielides, Joe Cabello, Sharon Kelleher, Joerg Steegmueller, Aisling Plunkett, Rob Rice, Donal Murray and Sheila O’Donnell. We also wish to express our gratitude to Rob Rice and Donal Murray for their top class guide of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, which we visited on the last day.
